Open Access Policy
HURMAH: Islamic Journal of Human Rights is fully committed to the principles of open science and the unrestricted global exchange of knowledge. The journal provides immediate open access to all its content based on the principle that making research freely available to the public—including for commercial use and adaptation—optimally advances scientific discourse and innovation. This approach is considered fundamental to fostering a more equitable, collaborative, and impactful dissemination of knowledge, especially in the fields of Indigenous studies and educational leadership. All published content is freely and permanently accessible to the public.
All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license. This licensing framework grants users the freedom to: Share—copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format; and Adapt—remix, transform, and build upon the material—for any purpose, including commercial purposes. These freedoms cannot be revoked as long as users comply with the license terms. These terms are: Attribution—you must give appropriate credit to the original author and source, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. ShareAlike—if you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you must distribute your contributions under the same license (CC BY-SA 4.0) as the original. No additional restrictions—you may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits. Under these terms, the scholarly work and all its derivatives will remain openly and perpetually reusable, contributing to a growing commons of shared knowledge.
